Like Ilsa said, if those servers go down you're just as out of luck. I really like the email method, but now I'm paranoid that somehow their servers will go down and I'll lose that stuff. Yikes.

Thanks for the link to Kathleen's post. That happened to my wife's grandpa too. Poor guy had a heck of a time getting everything back to normal. It's a scary world.

Http://www.killzoneauthors.blogspot.comJordan Danehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03350761658156085280noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7817438941023006688.post-66081388989648898182012-07-02T21:09:56.596-05:002012-07-02T21:09:56.596-05:00I actually back up my system hard drive & emai...I actually back up my system hard drive & email my latest MS version to myself. I had a hard drive crash on me & my genius nephew recovered most of my files. Lesson learned. I don't like the idea of completely trusting a third party system for something as major as my years of files. Scary stuff.Jordan Danehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03350761658156085280noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7817438941023006688.post-22112181627467761122012-07-02T20:55:23.050-05:002012-07-02T20:55:23.050-05:00Jordan,

Given that Amazon's Cloud has crashed TWICE (the latest being that big storm when their backup generator failed to kick in) and I'm sure DROPBOX will eventually . . . flash drives. Backup hard drive. My hair is thin enough already without me tearing it out.Ilsahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08547422320007180924noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7817438941023006688.post-70105156113357518812012-07-02T20:53:32.499-05:002012-07-02T20:53:32.499-05:00True story: my youngest child came into my study o...True story: my youngest child came into my study one afternoon, saw that interesting green light--and pushed it.

All I can say is . . . she's lucky she's made it into college.Ilsahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08547422320007180924noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7817438941023006688.post-10613002353314303582012-07-02T16:58:09.613-05:002012-07-02T16:58:09.613-05:00You've got some good solutions here, Dan.
