It's the presentation that gets you to pick up the book in the first place--and everyone knows that when you go into a bookstore, you find your book and turn it so the cover faces out. Covers aren't everything, but think of them as the equivalent of getting dressed up to impress that guy (or gal) you've always wanted. I had a friend who recently said the look of a book shouldn't matter and he trotted out the cliche that people shouldn't judge a book by its cover.
